One week since I looked at you

Hello everyone, I cant believe how fast weeks go here, they never went this fast during high school, whats up with that?
So this week was super good we found a new investigator, her name is Sandra, she would be at our lessons with her neighbor and she was super nice so we invited her to take the lessons and she said yes, so we passed back past her house the next day and we had our first lesson, We started talking about the restoration and then we started talking about the Book of Mormon, I asked her if she had read it and all she said was "yes", so I was like "oh thats great, did you like it? did you get past the first few chapters?" yeah she got through the first few chapters, she has read the whole thing! she told us " yeah I know your church is true I tell my friends all the time." so we asked if she wants to join Christ's Church, she said she would like to, we asked whats stopping her, she reply's "nothing" I Found the Golden Investigator that I didnt think Existed!
So the next experience that I would like to share happened yesterday, we also started teaching a new investigator, her name is Miri, we had a lesson with her right after church, we started by bing a little dorky and saying that we have a magnificent gift for her, that she better like! and we gave her a Book of Mormon with our testimonies inside, she took it and set it in front of her and started crying, She then started to thank us and bore her testimony that she really believes that what we teach is true and that she knows that the Book of Mormon is the word of God.
It kind of took me and my companion by surprise, but it definitely brought the spirit into the lesson.
But later I wondered to myself why doesn't everyone cry when we give them Book of Mormon!
I'm for real! If we really understood the importance of the Book of Mormon! the sacrifices made, the faith it took it get the Book of Mormon in each of our hands, wouldn't we too cry!
The Importance of the Livre de Mormon is huge, every principle, doctrine, word, even letter in that book is for each one of us and our salvation after this life and happiness in this one!
I got a new perspective this week, and I hope I can help share that with you all today, If studying not just the Book of Mormon but the scriptures is not a part of your normal day to day activities, make it! because that is Answers, blessings, and guidance that you are chooseing not to receive
I know we have a Father in Heaven who truly loves us, no matter who we are, what we do, or where we are in the world, or in our lives. I know that we can seek his love and follow it. It will lead us to blessings and joy we never thought possible.
I want you to all know that I love you and I pray for you!
Keep up the Good work!
Love you all

Same old same old #2

Same Old Same Old #2

Bonjour Everyone

I hope all is well wherever you are in the world, but things are going great here in Tahiti.

This week was great we found some new investigators and we have started re teaching some that I haven’t seen in months.

So I’m trying to think if anything new or exciting happened this week but I want to say that it was just a good week! We were able to go to the Temple again this week (second time since I’ve been here) it was great I love how the spirit is the same no matter where you are in the world! It’s the same love the same peace!

Umm well I don’t think I have really any stories for this week but just know that I’m good and I love my mission, I love talking to people, I love helping people feel the love God has for them through our message, I love getting weird looks at the store, I love making necklaces with cute Tahitian grandmas that try to gossip with us (gossiping is bad, don’t do it) I love walking down mountains in the pouring rain and then investigators bringing us massive pieces of plastic to wrap ourselves in, I love awesome shirts that people give us, I don’t love forgetting that you washed your sheets and you never dried them at nine o’clock at night so you search for another blanket because you do not want to just sleep on your nasty mattress, and all you find is an emergency blanket (aka tinfoil made into a blanket) and you try to pretend that its cool and your going to sleep great but in all honesty you try and don’t sleep at all!

But I do love my mission I love the people here I love this work I love helping people change their lives I love helping people better understand who it was who suffered and died for them and why he did it! I love my mission, it’s hard but the work of salvation isn’t easy, it wasn’t easy for Christ, why would it be any different for us! I love my mission, because I can better understand the love my Savior had for me when he served his mission.

No Subject. :)

Well once again hello everyone! this week was good as normal! My new companion got here Elder Beck he is from Highland Utah and he is pretty neat! it's been fun to have a pair of new eyes in this sector! We have been teaching some awesome people and having some great lessons with Inactive's too! the not so fun news is our car is being used by some other Elders until next week! so we get to trek up and down our mountain a lot! luckily Tahitians are so nice that they stop and offer rides! it's super sweet! also this week we did another service project! it was so easy we sat in a members house with fans and juice making necklaces out of flowers! hahaha its not the most rugged and rough service project out there, in fact I kinda feel like I'm in some knitters club, but it's fun! I only jabbed my finger once! and not to brag or anything but I am one mean flower threader! watch out! haha so maybe we'll find a little more manly service next time, maybe not! Also this week a investigator I gave a book of Mormon to about 6 months ago came back, I talked to her right when I got here and now she is back, and talking about wanting to get baptized, super cool! also this week we talked to a lot of drunk people, well more like they talk to us, one ushered us down the street to make sure we would be safe, haha thanks drunk guy we can count on you! other than walking everywhere, drunk guys and my new companion life is pretty much the same here! great! I love this work I love seeing the changes in my life and the live's of my investigators and members! thank you for all the love! I'm so greatful for all the wonderful people God has placed in my life.
God can't change what he doesn't have, if you want to be changed for the better, give yourself to God.

Same old same old

This week was super good, my Companion will be leaving me and my new companion is Elder Beck, He is in the Outer islands right now and doesn't get here untill Wednesday so I'll be doing some work with some members until then. This week we had some awesome lessons with our investigators and some inactives, I made friends with one of our inactives kids, he is about 11 and he made sure to sit by me while we did our lesson occasionally patting me on the back and telling me I was his best friend, So basically it was awesome and I have no idea what I did! umm but I really am loving my area am I am happy to be able to spend some more time with my awesome investigators. We also have six elders living in our house so its pretty crowded having our kitchen doubled for a bedroom but its fun to hear everyones stories of the day. So the exciting news of the week is we had a concert at the temple where we invite our investigators, and within two seconds it was pouring rain! the Tahitians had rain escape instinct! I was amazed how fast things cleared out! But the concert was good I like getting wet in the rain! that's about all this week I love this time I have to be here! I know this message is true I know God loves his children and will do everything he can to help every single one of them! I love you all and I pray for you
Have a good week
Choose the right!

I can't' ever think of what to put here

Hello my friends and family
So this week was good me and my companion as we keep busy up on our little mountain! This week we found some new investigators, an old Tongan couple! They don't know French so we do the lessons in English which is weird! But I think it was my favorite lesson we had all week! After we sat and looked at their family pictures we started teaching about the family, and it was going so good and the spirit was there  and they would stop us and say "I have a song" and then sing to us! Songs about prayer and Christ being next to us.
It was so great! So I sang for them "I'm a child of God" and they kept saying Amen thoughout the whole song! I loved it! Then we bore testimony and he told us how he loves talking to us because it gives him a warm feeling inside. It was a simple lesson and we had to speak slowly because its been almost 35 years since they have used it, but it was strong, He told me to tell my family that I found a new family here in Tahiti so.... sorry mom. and then we finished with dinner, orange juice, cheetos and peanuts. I know that it is by the small, easy, and pure truths that the spirit can really touch the hearts of the people you teach, And when you love them it makes it that much more sweet. Maybe its by the small and simple truths that we can have the great change in someones testimony! Our message is not complex its not confusing, I dont need to read off ten pages out of the bible to prove my point, all this truth requires is one pure, simple, prayer. Why would God make it hard? I love our message I know its true, I love this work, I love all of you!
(sorry I dont like that that rhymes but im just going to leave it)
Have a good week and know that I was freezing yesterday when it hit the artic tempreture of 70 degrees!
Oh dear!
Love you all!
