New Year Time

Well I have a lot to tell you all today, at least I feel that way!
So I will start with our Baptisms, on the 20th we had Heifara's baptism.  It was great, her brother baptized her and we were so happy for them!
Then on the 24th was Moerani's baptism I gave a little talk just before the baptism and I don’t really remember who started crying, but all I remember is I was just sobbing as I was giving this talk and she was down on the front row doing the same thing! Gosh I know it was me who started crying! But after her husband baptized her! She bore her testimony, and then we were crying again! haha ahhhh!
Then was Christmas! I got to talk to my family who I love so much, I was a little glad we speak English because no can understand us, but when my companion got on Skype his family started asking questions like "Do they understand French?".  Made the lady who’s house we were staying at a little upset, she kept saying to herself "We are civilized" I just nodded my head.
Just after Skype we were able to visit a Protestant baptism. It was good to see a little bit what investigators feel like when they come to our church, but I had no idea what I was doing! Stand up, sit down, sing really loud, stand up, invited to take sacrament, no thank you, baby baptism, I was instructed to take pictures, hahaha me and my companion were the baby baptism photographers! There were so many babies! And then a prayer that everyone said at the same time, then we do the Biz with the pastor and then we go home! And now I know just a little bit more. It was a testimony strengthening experience! hahaha Merry Christmas to me!
And then my bike caught a sickness again, aiiee iaaahh, my bike, we can say Exploded!, it exploded! The silly tire flew out of his little home and exploded like a firecracker! So the next day I found some duct tape and I fixed him up all nice we but tire tube in place and we pump him up, there was a whole in the outer rubber tire, and the tube ever so slowly crept out, my companion was taking a picture and then it flew at him and exploded again! Hahahaha My bike is so sick! But really I am so sick of my bike! Give me a boat! Well anyway a side from my bike I had a wall rounded Christmas this year!
Happy New Year one and all!
Love you all!

 Bonus Story
Sooooo one day my fan died!! Died, Elder Moller Can not sleep if he doesn’t have his fan so I went to the store on my bike, and bought a fan! My companion asked me "great how you going to get that home"
I looked him in the eye and I said 'oh you watch" If there is a will there is a way! I rode my bike though the middle of town with my fan! I’ve got no shame! And I have slept like a baby ever since. You better believe that that fan is saying with me until I finish my mission!

Ho Ho ho

Merry Christmas one and all,
We just got back from a zone Christmas party at Raiatea and oh goodness the little boat took so long to bring us home.
So I just have two seconds today!
I love you all and have the best Christmas ever!
Remember why we have Christmas and how we can give back to Christ!
Know that I love you all and that if you want to be happy I can tell you you can find it though other peoples happiness!
I'm sorry that my Christmas message is so small but it's full of love! That's what counts!

I know we have a Father in Heaven who loves us because he gave us His Son, a gift that makes everything possible!

the Chicken got me,aint nobody got time for that

When I say Chicken, I mean the, a horrible sickness here in the ocean islands!
I’ll explain it a little bit! If any of you have seen the Sword and the Stone and remember the sickness the evil witch gets after her fight with Merlin well its kinda like that! You start with a random part of your body hurting.  Tuesday three fingers on my left hand hurt, then it spread to my other hand, then my elbows, then I got really tired, so by Thursday you think your all healed and that’s when the red dots start appearing, all over! And then you’re just sore, and look like an old person when you walk! It’s not fun, plus you have to say the word Chikungunya a whole bunch and that’s just to much hahaha, but other that that we had a stake concert at Raiatea so we went and sang with our ward with all the other wards in the stake (which consist of three different islands) it was good.  Well that was about it. This week will be better!! Has to be!

I love you all, sorry I don’t have big news for this week
But its beginning to look a lot like Christmas...NOT
Islands are just the same forever!
Oh well Merry Christmas!!!!
Love you all
Until next week!

Happy Happy December

Happy, Happy December

Well this has to be a really short letter today! But this week was great we had many lessons, and we are preparing for our two baptisms that will be on the 20th, we are just busy bees! But my companion and me have really seen some miracles this week that come from following the Spirit! I know this Gospel is true, I know that our message is for everyone! I know no matter who you are God knows you and he loves you! I have seen that in this work! I have seen the importance of my mission. I thought I was going to change others lives but it’s my life that changed. Changes are never easy but this is a change I will be forever grateful I made, and the best/scary part is I’m only half way there. I have a testimony that when we make a difference in someone else’s life, God makes a change in our life! I hope you all can remember that this Holiday season because frankly I have to keep reminding myself its almost Christmas, you wouldn’t think it here! I did have a little Christmas chocolate countdown to help remind me but I told you changes are not easy and Elder Moller ate days 8 until 24 a few days ago! Well anyway I’m never buying one of those again! And I got off track again! Well I love you all!!! Have a good week!!!

You’re all the best
Remember that

These are some questions that Elder Moller answered for me – Dad/Kelly

Questions!!

Honestly the people are super nice here too!! I hate house to house it is not effective so when I want new investigators I just talk to everyone I see and sometimes all I have to say is "have you ever talked to the missionaries" response "no" is there a time we can come visit you response "sure" of course you need to follow the Spirit but it is not hard for me to make investigators, president already labeled me as a "finder missionary" sooo that’s cool I guess! We do have member help finding investigators and that helps a lot! There are a ton of inactives in this mission not because of their testimony but because of their way of life "island life".

I rarely speak English with Elder Escoffre from Toulouse. We teach mostly in French but it depends its a mix of the two, I speak as much Tahitian as I want, not horribly a lot but I want to change that. Church is mostly in Tahitian and that helps me understand because in Tahiti it was not like that! Monsoon season just started and the worst hits at the end of the month, I think it goes until March hahaha The raincoat in helps a little bit!

It Was Thanksgiving

Well this week was good!

I would like to wish everyone a happy Turkey Day.  I ate Chicken but its all pretty much the same thing. Also this week we had another service project! It was kinda fun hahaha we weeded and covered cow poop with dirt hahahaha I guess it doesn't sound fun but it was fun.  But the really fun part was after, the guy who owns the land took us into the forest, oh goodness it was so cool it was like a small version of Tarzan. There were vines we could swing on and mud that I slipped on. Me...Elder Moller. Well anyway we get to this massive pile of rocks and he tells us it was where the Tahitians used to sacrifice people! wow! is was kinda scary but really cool too! Also today for pday we visited a pearl shop. Soooo expensive I almost pooped! I asked what the most expensive thing was! a necklace 41,000 dollars! oh my goodness!! I died! Plastic is better. It all looks the same! and if you buy pearls don't give them to pigs well because that's what we learn in the bible! sooo all in all I'm doing well, I'm happy to be here and It's  weird am almost half way there! where does the time go!

I love this work, I love Tahaa, I love helping people
I love all of you, Keep being happy!
And remember its not about pearls it about the things we can carry with us after this life!
So have a happy first week of December and make some good memories and friendships!
love you all
